Ferry Cottage

Ferry Cottage is a semi-detached bungalow on the edge of Pitlochry. It's a quiet street. You can walk into the town centre in about five minutes.

It sleeps two. One bedroom and one bathroom, all on the ground floor, so no stairs to worry about. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and recently done up.

The main thing is the back. The living room has French doors that open onto a deck. The garden is enclosed and looks right out over the river Tummel. You can hear the water from out there. It's a good spot.

Inside, it's just what you need. Wooden floors, a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi. The bed's a double. There's parking for one car on the drive.

You're really well placed for the town. The Pitlochry Festival Theatre and the fish ladder are a pleasant walk away. There's a shop and a couple of pubs about 500 yards up the road.

For a day out, you're right in the middle of everything. Blair Atholl and Blair Castle are about 15 minutes north. Dunkeld and The Hermitage are about 25 minutes south. There are distilleries all around if that's your thing. Perth is about half an hour's drive.

The area is good for walking, cycling, or fishing. You can find details on most of that through National Trust for Scotland Perthshire and Cairngorms National Park. The park authority covers a lot of this area too.

No pets, I'm afraid.
