Queens Barn
Queens Barn is in Wortham, Suffolk. It's on the main road between Bury St Edmunds and Diss, so you'll hear some traffic. But the garden is enclosed, so it's fine.
It sleeps eight but there are only three bedrooms. Two are king-size rooms, each with its own staircase. The third bedroom sleeps four, in bunk beds. There are two bathrooms, both have showers and one also has a roll-top bath. There's another roll-top bath in one of the king bedrooms. They're copper.
The place is 5 Star, so it's finished to a high standard. It's warm, everything works, and it's clean. It was originally two cottages knocked into one, hence the two staircases. The stairs are steep and narrow in places. Just so you know.
Outside, there's an enclosed lawn garden with a hot tub and a barbecue. You can also use the owner's paddock next door to exercise dogs. They allow up to four pets.
The village has a shop and a pub. Diss is three miles away for supermarkets and a train to London. Eye is five miles and has nice antique shops.
If you want to explore, the Suffolk coast is about a 45 minute drive. Southwold, Aldeburgh, Walberswick. The National Trust site at Sutton Hoo is about half an hour away. For a day out, Bressingham Steam Museum is very close. Norwich is less than an hour.
Facilities: it's got a wood burner, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV, parking. Bedding and towels are included.
