The Cottage Barn

The Cottage Barn is in Little Green, Suffolk. It's a detached barn conversion. It's in a quiet spot, just off a small lane with fields around it.

It sleeps three, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well-finished and comfortable, but it's still a barn. The stairs are a bit steep because of the original structure. The main bedroom and the twin room both have French doors you can open for air, but they're Juliet balconies, so you can't step out.

The living space is all open-plan downstairs. There's a kitchen area, a sofa space with a TV, and a table. The shower room is downstairs too. Upstairs, there's a separate toilet next to the bedrooms. The owners leave a welcome pack with local information. The garden you get is a private, south-facing terrace. Beyond that, there are larger gardens and a wildflower meadow you're free to walk around. It's very quiet at night. You'll hear owls.

For finding things to do, these are good starting points: Visit Suffolk, National Trust Sutton Hoo, and RSPB Minsmere.

It's a good base for driving out. Diss is about ten minutes away for supermarkets and things. The Suffolk coast, like Southwold or Aldeburgh, is about 40 minutes' drive. Bury St. Edmunds is about half an hour. Norwich is roughly 40 minutes north. You're about 30 minutes from the southern edge of the Norfolk Broads if you want to go that way.

Facilities are what you'd expect: parking, WiFi, a washing machine, bedding and towels are included. The garden is enclosed. No pets, sorry.
