Woodcrest Barn Cottage
Woodcrest Barn Cottage is in Roydon, a small village in Norfolk. It's about a mile from Diss. The barn is next to our house, but it's entirely separate. You get your own courtyard garden with a hot tub.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms, and both bedrooms have their own bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which overstates it a bit, but it is nicely finished and very clean.
The living area is open plan with big windows looking over the fields. Across the courtyard there's an outbuilding with a pool table and table tennis in it. It's basic but it's something to do.
There's a good pub half a mile away that does food. Diss is the nearest proper town for shops and cafes, about five minutes in the car.
For days out, you're well placed. You're sort of between Norwich and Bury St Edmunds, both about 40 minutes. Ickworth House is a bit closer. The Norfolk and Suffolk coasts are both about an hour's drive.
You've got a dishwasher, a washing machine, parking right outside, and bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
