Cedar Barn Banham

Cedar Barn is one of the converted farm buildings at Wash Farm in Banham. It sleeps four, but it's really best for two adults, maybe with a couple of kids. There's one bedroom up on the mezzanine, which looks down over the living area, and there's a sofa bed downstairs. One bathroom with a shower.

It's got a 5 Star rating, which means everything is in very good order and it's well equipped. The main space is open plan with a high ceiling and exposed beams. You can bring up to two dogs.

The big thing here is the shared indoor heated swimming pool. It's free for guests to use. You need to bring your own pool towels. The water is kept at a comfortable temperature.

The farm is right next to Banham Zoo. You can hear some of the animals sometimes. It's a good zoo, well regarded. There are also some Suffolk Punch horses in the paddocks here. You can ask to meet them if you like.

The location is quiet. There are footpaths from the farm gate for walking. The local shop and pub are about half a mile away.

For days out, Wymondham is close and has shops and places to eat, including Wymondham Abbey. Norwich is about 35 minutes by car for proper shopping and the castle. Thetford Forest is good for walking and cycling, and has a Go Ape. For the coast, Southwold is just over an hour away. The Norfolk Broads are about 40 minutes drive, around Wroxham. You can hire boats there.

Facilities included are a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, WiFi, and parking. All bedding and towels are provided.
