Bressingham Hall is an old country house near Diss in Norfolk. It sleeps 21 people, with eight bedrooms and seven bathrooms. That's what the 5 Star rating means: it's well-equipped and maintained for a large group.
It's a big, detached house with its own enclosed garden. There's a lawned terrace with outdoor furniture and a fish pond. You get access to the next-door Bressingham Gardens from open to close during your stay. That's a real bonus if you like gardens.
The kitchen has everything you'd need for cooking for a crowd. The formal dining room has a table that seats 18. The entrance hall has a big, sweeping staircase. Several rooms have decorative fireplaces, which are original but not in use.
There's a barn and a marquee on the estate that can be used for weddings or big events, but you have to arrange that directly with the owner. You can also book to have a hot tub installed in the private garden for an extra cost.
Being rural, you'll need a car. There's a local pub and a golf course. For a day out, Thetford Forest is about half an hour's drive. The coast at Southwold or Aldeburgh is just over 30 minutes away.
Practical things: all bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair. WiFi, TVs, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and parking for everyone are all here. You can bring up to two dogs.
