Chestnut Cottage is on Great Green in Suffolk. It's a detached, single-storey cottage, which means no stairs to worry about. It's next to our house, and we share the main gravelled courtyard, but you have your own private sitting-out area too. The whole place sits in about six acres of our land, a mix of natural woodland and open fields. It's very quiet.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms and has one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, which we're pleased about. It's comfortable and clean.
You're between the villages of Rickinghall and Wortham. Rickinghall has shops and places to eat. Wortham has a pub, a teashop, a post office store, and tennis courts. Your nearest shop and pub is about a mile away.
If you like fishing, Hinderclay Lakes are about a mile and a half from here. There are six lakes there. On our land, we've put some seats and picnic tables around if you fancy being outside.
For days out, you're well placed. Diss market town and the Waveney Valley are close. Bury St Edmunds is a bit further but easy to get to for the cathedral and shopping. The Suffolk coast is about an hour's drive. Southwold and Aldeburgh are the main ones there. Thetford Forest is good for cycling and walks, and Norwich city is within about 45 minutes.
Facilities included are: a washing machine, TV, barbecue, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are provided. Sorry, no pets.
