The Old Dairy
The Old Dairy is what it sounds like. It's the old dairy building on our farm, converted into a place to stay. It's next to our house but it's completely separate and you've got your own enclosed garden out the back.
It's all on one floor, which is handy. It sleeps two, in one bedroom. There's a wet room with a walk-in shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's modern and comfortable. You have everything you need.
We allow dogs, up to three. The garden is fully enclosed. There's bicycle storage if you bring bikes.
You're in Mellis, which is a small village. The pub is about a mile away. There's a shop a few miles away in Eye. Eye itself is nice to wander around, it's a historic little town with independent shops and a couple of cafes. It's about four miles from here.
For a day out, you're well placed. The Suffolk coast is about half an hour's drive. Southwold and Aldeburgh are the main ones. Dunwich Heath is good for a walk and they do fish and chips at the beach cafe.
You're also not far from the Norfolk Broads if you fancy that. For history, Sutton Hoo is about forty minutes away. Bressingham Steam Museum is about ten minutes away by car.
Diss is the nearest proper town, about six miles. It has supermarkets, a leisure centre with a pool, and a train station with direct lines to London.
The facilities are all listed. There's parking right outside, WiFi, TV, a washing machine, and bedding and towels are included. The garden has a patio and a BBQ.
