Star Cottage
Star Cottage is in Eye, Suffolk. It's a Grade II listed house built in the 1500s. It's right in the middle of the town, so you can walk to the shops and pubs.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One of the bedrooms is a bit unusual: it's a single room with a curtain instead of a door, and it leads into another bedroom that has a double and a single bed. You'll see the beams and the old fireplace. There's a witch's mark carved into the mantel, which they did back then. The floors slope in places and some of the doorways are low. Just mind your head.
There's a wood burner for colder nights. The garden room is a nice quiet spot. We provide bedding and towels. There's WiFi and a washing machine.
Eye is a small historic town. There's a castle site you can walk up for a view. The river Dove runs through it. For a bigger day out, Norwich is about 30 minutes drive. The Suffolk coast, like Southwold or Aldeburgh, is within an hour.
