Star Cottage
Star Cottage is in Eye, Suffolk. It's a very old house, we're talking Tudor times. It's Grade II listed. You can see the original timber frame inside.
It sleeps six people. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom. The master bedroom has its own toilet. One of the single bedrooms has a curtain for privacy instead of a door, because of the old frame. Another bedroom has a double and a single bed together. The rating is 3 Star. It's comfortable and clean, but it's an old building so mind your head on some of the beams. The floors slope a bit in places too.
There's a wood burner in the main room. The garden room is pleasant to sit in. The dining room is a good size.
You'll find a shop about 300 yards away. There's a pub at 350 yards and a restaurant even closer. Eye is a small historic town. It's got a castle you can visit, church, and a few local shops and cafes. It's on the River Dove.
For walking, the area is good. Quiet country lanes if you cycle. It's about a 30-minute drive to places like Diss or Bury St Edmunds. The Suffolk coast, like Southwold and Aldeburgh, is about a 45-minute drive. Norwich is under an hour. The Norfolk Broads are accessible from here too.
Included in the cottage: WiFi, bedding and towels, a washing machine, and the electricity is included. There's a shower. No pets, sorry.
