Oaklawn Cottage
Oaklawn Cottage is on our property, a small estate just outside Eye. It's a detached cottage. It's just the one bathroom. You get two bedrooms upstairs.
It's a three star place. That means it's comfortable and clean, but don't expect anything fancy. It's old, so there are some original beams. The stairs are steep, that's just how it is. The bedrooms have dormer windows.
It's a good spot for a couple or a small family. The garden is yours to use. There's parking right there.
Eye is about two miles away. There's a shop there and a couple of pubs. They're decent.
For walking, you're in the Suffolk countryside. It's very flat. It's about twenty five minutes in the car to get to Woodbridge. From there you can get to the coast, places like Aldeburgh or Southwold. The Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area is worth a look for planning walks.
Further afield, you're about an hour from The Broads if you fancy that. Constable Country, around Dedham Vale, is a similar drive.
In terms of what's here, there's a wood burning stove, a TV, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. You're welcome to bring one well-behaved dog.
