You go up some steps to get into the apartment. It's open plan, so the living, kitchen, and sleeping areas are all in one big room. The bathroom is separate. The windows look out over the rooftops of the town. You get a good sense of all the old buildings.
It's right in the middle of things. You step outside and the shops, pubs, and restaurants are right there. The nearest pub is about sixty yards away. There's a supermarket three quarters of a mile out if you need it.
Diss itself is a nice market town. There's a six-acre lake called Diss Mere right in the centre, with a boardwalk around it. It's one of the deepest natural lakes in the country. The town has a lot of old timber-framed buildings, a church, and a museum. It's all on your doorstep.
In terms of facilities, it's got a TV, WiFi, a shower, and bedding and towels are included. The electricity is part of the rental.
For days out, the Norfolk and Suffolk coast is about half an hour's drive. Southwold and its pier is roughly thirty miles. The RSPB reserve at Walberswick is about thirty-four miles. There's a golf course within two miles, and local fishing if that's your thing.
