Coachman's Cottage is in Yaxley, Suffolk. It's attached to our house, the old coach house, but it's completely private. You get the whole place to yourselves, with your own enclosed garden out the back.
The cottage sleeps three, in one bedroom. There's a double bed and a single bed in there. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and has everything you need. It's all on the ground floor, so there are no stairs to worry about. The bathroom has both a bath and a walk-in shower.
The kitchen has a proper range cooker, which is nice if you like cooking. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. We include all the bedding and towels.
The best thing is the location. It backs right onto Mellis Common, which is a big nature reserve. You can walk straight out onto it from the garden gate. It's very quiet, just fields and sky.
There's a pub about half a mile away in the village that does food. The nearest shop is a couple of miles away in Eye, which is a small market town. Diss is about ten minutes by car, it's got a train station with direct links to Norwich and London.
If you want a day out, Norwich, Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich are all roughly 40 minutes' drive. The coast at Southwold is about 50 minutes. We've got horse riding on site, but you need to arrange that with us before you come.
For planning visits, these sites are useful: National Trust Suffolk, Visit East of England, and Suffolk Wildlife Trust for the common.
Parking is right outside the cottage. Sorry, no pets.
