The Granary is our converted grain store. It's detached, but our house is next door. It's very quiet here, just fields and the garden.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The stairs are the main thing to know about. They're steep and a bit narrow, going up to the bedrooms. Fine for most, but you need to watch your step.
It's practical inside. Open plan living area, a dishwasher, washing machine, and Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels are provided. There's parking right there, and space for bikes if you bring them.
We're in Stuston. The village is small. For a shop or a pub, you need to go to Diss, which is about three miles away. Diss has everything you need: supermarkets, a few decent pubs, and a train station. The train goes straight to London if you need it.
From here, you're right in the middle of Suffolk and Norfolk. Bury St Edmunds, Norwich, and Ipswich are all about half an hour's drive. The Suffolk coast, places like Southwold and Aldeburgh, is also about 30 to 40 minutes away. It's a good spot for exploring without driving for hours.
