The Granary
The Granary is on Cross Street in Stuston. It's a detached building we converted a while back. It's next to our house, but it's completely separate with its own garden and parking. It's quiet here.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating. We've tried to make it comfortable but it's not a show home. The second bedroom has twin beds.
You're a three minute drive from the A140, so it's easy to get to places, but you don't hear the road. The nearest shop is about two miles away in Diss. The Walnut Tree pub is a bit further, maybe three miles. It does good food.
Diss is useful. It's got a train station with direct trains to London if you need that. There's a leisure centre with a pool there too. It's a market town with proper butchers and bakers.
You're pretty central here. Norwich, Bury St Edmunds, and Ipswich are all about a 30 minute drive. The Suffolk coast, like Southwold or Aldeburgh, is about 45 minutes if the traffic's light.
Inside, it's all on one level except for the bedrooms upstairs. It's open plan. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. The shower is in the bathroom. We provide bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair in the cupboard if you need them. The wifi is okay, but it's the countryside.
For days out, the National Trust has some good places nearby like Ickworth. The English Heritage site at Framlingham Castle is worth a look too.
