It's called Burfields Barn and I'm very fond of it. It's down a track off the Botesdale Green road, right in the middle of the fields. You get the whole place to yourselves, obviously. It feels a bit tucked away, but you're only a couple of miles from a decent shop and a pub.
It sleeps quite a few people, up to eleven. There are five bedrooms and they all have their own bathrooms, which solves a lot of arguments. It's got a 5 star rating so everything is in good order. The whole ground floor is one big open room with the kitchen at one end and the sofas at the other. There's a wood burner.
The main thing about the place is the pool. It's indoors, heated, and it's just for your group. There's also a games room with a table tennis table. For outside, there's a big enclosed courtyard area with a barbecue and outdoor seating. The garden is yours, and there's a seven acre field you're welcome to wander about in.
You can bring two dogs. There's plenty of room for them to run about safely off a lead. Stowmarket is about ten miles away, and Bury St Edmunds a bit less. If you want the coast, you're looking at a 40 minute drive. Southwold and Aldeburgh are the main ones.
Practical stuff: There's on site parking for a few cars. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine and dishwasher, a cot and highchair. You can arrange for catering if you want, but you'd need to sort that out with me beforehand.
A couple of useful links if you're planning trips: Suffolk Coast & Heaths National Landscape for coastal walks, and National Trust Sutton Hoo is worth a visit.
