Burfields Barn

Burfields Barn is near Botesdale Green. It's in Suffolk, about a mile from the actual village. The place stands on its own, next to another barn we rent called The Old Stables. They're in the middle of farmland, on about seven acres of grounds you can share with the other property if it's booked.

It sleeps eleven, in five bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is handy. The main living space is open plan, with a wood burning stove. There are a lot of beams. It's a barn, so the ceilings are high in places.

There are two main things here. First, there's a private indoor heated swimming pool. It's in a separate building by the barn. There's also a games room with a pool table and table football.

Second, outside, there's a large enclosed courtyard with a barbecue and dining area. The garden is enclosed, so it's safe for dogs and children. You get the whole thing to yourselves.

You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Everything's on one level, which is good for anyone who finds stairs difficult, and there's a wet room on the ground floor.

The nearest shop and pub are in Botesdale, about two miles away. They're fine.

For days out, you're about half an hour's drive from Bury St Edmunds. They've got the cathedral and abbey gardens. Diss is about twenty minutes the other way. The coast at Southwold or Aldeburgh is a forty-minute drive. For walking, Thelnetham Fen is close by and good for birds.
