Cricketers Cottage is in Ipstones, which is in the Staffordshire Moorlands. It's a stone cottage right on the edge of the Peak District. It's for two people, one bedroom upstairs.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The character is original, which means some of the doorways are quite low. You need to mind your head in places. The stairs are the cottage kind, too. Not a spiral, but they're steep and turn a corner.
Downstairs there's a sitting room with a wood burner effect fire, a small dining table, and a kitchen. There's a back porch with a breakfast bar that gets the sun in the morning. There's also a WC down there. Upstairs is the bedroom and an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath.
Outside, you have a little private patio area with a table and chairs.
In the village, there's a shop and a couple of pubs. There's a farm shop nearby too. It's a good area for walking. The Manifold Track is close by for a flat walk or cycle. You're about twenty minutes from Leek for bigger supermarkets.
Alton Towers is about a fifteen minute drive if that's your thing. Peak Wildlife Park is even closer. For a day out, Bakewell or Ashbourne are within half an hour. The Roaches and Dovedale are proper Peak District scenery and also within that drive.
Facilities: bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine in the kitchen. The TV is a Smart TV. You can bring up to two dogs.
