The Stables
The Stables is up near Ramshorn in Staffordshire. It's a converted barn on a farm, so it's pretty quiet. You get parking for two cars out front.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own shower room. One's a double, the other has twin beds that can be pushed together into a big double if you ask beforehand. They're done up nicely, comfortable.
Downstairs is one open room really. Kitchen at one end, then a table, then the sitting area with a sofa and TV. It's all on one level except the bedrooms upstairs. The stairs aren't bad, just normal stairs.
Outside there's a patio with a table. The view is over fields, it's nice. You can walk straight out from the door onto footpaths.
It's on the edge of the Peak District. Ashbourne is about 15 minutes drive. It's a decent market town with shops and pubs. Dovedale with the stepping stones is close by. For walking or cycling, the Tissington Trail and High Peak Trail are nearby and good for a proper day out.
Alton Towers is very close, maybe ten minutes. If you've got people going there, it's handy.
Facilities: It's got wifi, a washing machine, dishwasher, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. There's bike storage. Sorry, no pets.
