The Crog Loft
The Crog Loft is a one-bedroom place in Penycaerau, up on the Llŷn Peninsula. It's just for two people. We're up a farm track, so it's quiet. You get a good view down the valley from the garden.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and recently done up. The main room downstairs has a wood burner, a kitchen area and a little table. The stairs are fairly steep, just so you know.
Upstairs is just the bedroom, with a super king-size bed, and the ensuite shower room off it. Bedding and towels are included.
Outside, there's a private garden with a table and a barbecue. You can park right outside.
We're about five minutes by car from the sea at Aberdaron. Good beach there. The Plas yn Rhiw National Trust house and gardens are even closer, just down the road in Rhiw. Nice for a walk.
You're right on the edge of Snowdonia here. It's about a 25-minute drive to get into the Snowdonia National Park proper for the bigger walks. For something closer, you can walk from the doorstep up Mynydd Rhiw or along the coast path.
The facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's bike storage if you need it.
