Silyn

Silyn is a bungalow on the edge of Aberdaron. It's detached, so no neighbours on the other side of a wall. You get the whole place and the garden to yourselves.

It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. Because it's a bungalow, everything is on the ground floor. No stairs at all.

The location is the main thing. You're up the hill from the village, so you get a view of the sea from the front. It's about a ten minute walk down to the beach. Aberdaron itself is a proper fishing village. There's a shop, a couple of pubs that do food, and some cafes. It's quiet in winter but gets busy in summer.

The garden has a patio and a summer house. It's a good spot if the weather's mixed. You can store bikes there if you bring them.

You're right at the tip of the Llyn Peninsula. The Wales Coastal Path goes right past. You can walk for miles in either direction. For a day out, Pwllheli is about a 20 minute drive. It has more shops and a marina.

Snowdonia National Park is about a 30 minute drive inland. That's where the big mountains are for walking. Closer than that, the National Trust's Porth y Swnt in the village is worth a look to get ideas for the area.

Facilities: there's parking for two cars on the drive. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
