This is Hendy. It's a semi-detached cottage on a working farm in Llanfaelrhys. The farm's about 100 acres. The main thing is the view. You're quite high up, so you look out over fields to the sea. It's very dark at night, so you see a lot of stars.
It sleeps four. There are three bedrooms, but one is set up as a playroom with a TV. It's handy if you've got kids. The other two bedrooms are a double and a bunk room. There's one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean. Nothing fancy.
The garden is enclosed. It's a safe space for kids or a dog. We allow one well-behaved pet. You can sit out there and just watch the sheep.
Aberdaron is the nearest village, about a mile and a half down the lane. It's a nice walk if you don't mind hills. The beach is sandy and quite long. There are a couple of pubs, a cafe, and in the summer they run boat trips over to Bardsey Island from there.
For a day out, Caernarfon Castle is about 40 minutes' drive. Harlech Castle is a bit further, maybe 50 minutes. Snowdon is just under an hour away. You can walk up or get the Snowdon Mountain Railway. Pwllheli has a marina and a beach, that's about 20 minutes by car.
In terms of what's here, there's a washing machine, a cot and highchair if you need them, and bedding is provided. There's parking right outside. There's WiFi, but it's a farm, so it's functional. You can store bikes. The farm track is good for walking.
