Hafan is in Morfa, on the Llŷn Peninsula. It's a detached house in a field by the sea. Sleeps six, three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The big thing is the location. A private gate at the bottom of the garden takes you straight down to Porth Colmon harbour. It's a tiny beach with a little stone jetty. You can buy lobster and crab from the hut there in season. We see dolphins sometimes. Seals too.
The Llŷn Coastal Path runs along the lane. So if you like walking, you're set. The coastal path goes for miles.
Inside, it's spacious. There's a large conservatory with views over the field to the sea. We replaced the bay windows in 2021 so they're good. It's got a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. Facilities are all there: dishwasher, washing machine, wifi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking.
You can take up to two dogs. We've got a highchair, cot, and stairgate if you need them.
The village of Aberdaron is about six miles away. It's got shops, a couple of pubs, and a good beach. There's a seasonal shop a quarter of a mile from the house. The nearest proper pub and restaurant is about three miles.
Plas yn Rhiw, the National Trust house, is nearby and worth a visit. It's peaceful. Major supermarkets like Tesco and Sainsbury's will deliver to the house if you order online.
For planning days out, these sites are useful: National Trust Wales, Visit Wales, and Snowdonia National Park.
