This is Ty Hen. It's our old farmhouse near Llangwnnadl on the Llyn Peninsula.
It's a big place, sleeps eight in five bedrooms. There's just the one bathroom. It's a four star, which means it's pretty comfortable.
The house is detached, you're on your own up here. It sits in the middle of our fields, so you'll see sheep. The view from the front is over the countryside to the sea. You can see Porth Colmon, which is a little harbour about three quarters of a mile down the lane. Sometimes the fisherman there sells crab and lobster.
The village has a shop that opens in the season, but I'd plan to bring basics. The nearest big town is Pwllheli, about a fifteen minute drive. They've got supermarkets and things.
The coast path is easily accessible for walking. It's a short drive or a decent walk to a few beaches, like Porth Colmon or Aberdaron. The whole peninsula is good for cycling if you bring bikes.
In terms of facilities, it's got a wood burner, a washing machine, and WiFi. There's a cot, highchair and a stairgate if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. The garden is enclosed. You can bring up to two dogs. Parking is right there.
For days out, Caernarfon Castle is about 40 minutes away. Portmeirion is similar. The Snowdonia National Park starts maybe half an hour inland. For planning, the Visit Wales and Llyn Peninsula sites are useful, and the National Trust looks after a lot of the coast here.
