Ty Hir

Ty Hir is in Penycaerau on the Llyn Peninsula. It's a detached stone building, converted from farm outbuildings. The main living area is open plan with a high beamed ceiling, and there are wood floors throughout.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a five-star rating. It's not a hotel, but it's well-finished and comfortable.

There are fourteen acres of land here, so it's very private. The garden is lawned and looks out over fields to the sea.

A thing to know: the stairs are steep. They're original. Also, the beds and furniture are a mix of antique and modern stuff, like leather sofas and old painted wardrobes. It's not a show home.

The local shop is about a mile and three-quarters away. Abersoch and Pwllheli are a short drive for watersports, shops, and restaurants. The coastal path is right there for walking. Sandy beaches are nearby, like Porth Neigwl.

Snowdonia is about half an hour's drive if you want mountains.

In the house, there's underfloor heating, a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair. Parking is on site. No pets.
