Bodarfor is in Aberdaron, right at the end of the Llyn Peninsula. It's a detached cottage, so no one next door. It sleeps five, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is useful.
The place has a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. The decoration is simple, lots of white and pale blue with some pictures of the sea. It's not cluttered.
The garden is fully enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs. We allow up to three. There's a decked area with a view over the fields to the sea. The sunsets from there are very good.
Inside, the kitchen has what you need, including a dishwasher. The living room has French doors out to the garden. There's WiFi, a TV, and a collection of books and games. We put up seasonal decorations for Christmas, Easter, and Halloween. Nothing too over the top, just a bit of cheer.
Parking is on the drive. There's an electric vehicle charger.
Aberdaron itself is a five-minute walk. You've got two hotels that do meals, a couple of tea rooms, a chip shop, a bakery, and a shop for basics. The beach is right there. The National Trust has a visitor centre in the village. A short walk through their car park takes you to a wood-fired beach sauna, if that's your thing.
The church of St Hywyn is ancient and worth a look. The headland above the village, Uwchmynydd, is great for a walk and has views over to Bardsey Island.
For a day out, Porthdinllaen is about half an hour's drive. It's a hamlet in a bay with a famous pub right on the beach. The whole peninsula is good for walking. The coast path is on your doorstep.
