Bodrydd

Bodrydd is a barn we converted on our beef farm in Penycaerau. It's on the Llŷn Peninsula, which is a quiet bit of North Wales. The location is quite rural, so you don't get traffic noise, just the farm.

It sleeps fourteen. Six bedrooms, four bathrooms. One of the wet rooms and a bedroom are on the ground floor, and there's grab rails, so it suits people who don't do stairs. It's got a 5 Star rating, so it's well finished. I wouldn't call it fancy, but everything is new and works.

Inside, there's a big living room with a stone fireplace and a gas wood burner. There's also a baby grand piano, if anyone plays. The conservatory looks out over the fishing lakes. French doors lead to a deck with a covered, heated plunge pool. There's a separate games room, which is useful if the weather turns.

Outside, you share the landscaped grounds with the smaller apartment, Hafen Deg. You've got your own garden area and parking right there. We've got an electric vehicle charger now.

The facilities are all there: bedding and towels, dishwasher, washing machine, wifi, TV, BBQ, cot and highchair. You can bring two dogs.

The closest pub, shop, and restaurant are a couple of miles away in Aberdaron. That's a proper fishing village with a few places to eat. The beach there is about two miles from the cottage. There are lots of other quiet beaches around the peninsula. You might see seals.

For walks, the coastal path is right here. For a day out, Porth y Swnt in Aberdaron is interesting. The Snowdonia National Park is about a half hour drive if you want mountains. Pwllheli is 17 miles for a bigger supermarket.

The on-site coarse fishing lakes are free for you to use. They're open to the public as well, so there might be other anglers.
