Acre Luxury Lodges-Cedar Lodge

Cedar Lodge is one of four lodges on a bit of land just outside Kinnerton. It's classed as being in Powys, so Mid Wales. It's very quiet out here.

It's a detached lodge, sleeps eight in four bedrooms. They're all decent sized. Every bedroom has its own TV and doors out to the patio. Two of the rooms are king-size with their own shower rooms. The other two are twins. There are two more big bathrooms, one with a stand-alone bath. Underfloor heating throughout, which is good.

The main room is open plan, kitchen at one end, lounge at the other. It's big enough for eight people to sit without falling over each other. Wood burner in the corner. French doors open out onto a decked area.

The deck and garden are enclosed. There's a hot tub out there. Please just keep the lid on it when you're not using it.

Walks start right from the gate into the woods. If you want something more organised, Offa's Dyke Path is a short drive away. Hergest Ridge and Radnor Forest are good for longer walks or a bike ride. Plenty of quiet lanes for cycling too if that's your thing.

Presteigne is the nearest town, about a ten-minute drive. It's a nice little place. Has a few shops, cafes, and a decent museum in the old courthouse. Kington is a bit further for a bigger shop. For a day out, Ludlow is about half an hour's drive. Hay-on-Wye is maybe 35 minutes. Both are worth a trip. There's a small breeds farm park near Kington if you've got kids.

The lodge is rated 4 Star. It's well-equipped and comfortable. You've got a dishwasher, washing machine, that sort of thing. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to three dogs. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside.

A couple of things to know. Because it's all electric and has underfloor heating, please try to be mindful with it. And it is rural. You'll need a car.
