Herrock View

Herrock View is a detached cottage in Lower Harpton, Herefordshire. It's got two bedrooms and sleeps four.

It's on a working farm, and quiet. The views are quite something, looking out over fields towards the Black Mountains. You can see the border with Wales from the garden. The garden is all yours, fully fenced.

There's a hot tub in the garden. It's private. You can sit in it and look at the view.

Inside, it's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's a woodburning stove for colder nights. It has wheelchair access at the entrance and a stairgate if you need it. All bedding and towels are provided. There's a washing machine, parking, and a games room. Sorry, no pets.

The local pub that does food is about two miles away. The nearest shop is four miles, so you'll want to bring supplies.

For days out, you're in a good spot. Hay-on-Wye is about a 30-minute drive. It's famous for bookshops, and it gets busy during the festival. Kington is closer, a small town. Hereford is about half an hour away, that's your main city with a cathedral and bigger shops.

You can walk onto Offa's Dyke Path from nearby. The National Trust has good information on that. The Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells is also within reach if that's your thing.
