The Cider Barn
The Cider Barn is in Combe, near Presteigne. It's on our smallholding. The barn was converted a while ago. It's for two people.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and has everything you need. There's one bedroom upstairs in the eaves. The stairs are a bit steep, like a ladder, so you need to be okay with that. There's one bathroom with a shower.
The main room has a wood burner. We leave you a basket of logs to get started. There's a small, private garden area with a table and a BBQ. You're also welcome to walk around the shared grounds and down by the river.
We've got pet sheep. There's Kevin the Texel, and some Balwens and Herdwicks. The chickens and ducks wander about. You can feed them if you like.
Presteigne is about two miles away. It's a small town with a couple of pubs, cafes, a shop, and takeaways. There's a good award-winning pub about two and a half miles the other way, towards Kington.
It's a good spot for walking. Offa's Dyke path is nearby. For a day out, National Trust Herefordshire properties like Berrington Hall are within half an hour. Leominster is about ten miles for antiques. Ludlow and Hereford are both around a 40 minute drive.
What's here: parking, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. The place is on a working farm, so you might hear farm vehicles on the lane sometimes. No pets, sorry.
