Upper Close

This is Upper Close. It's in Stanner, near Kington, right on the border with England. It's a detached house on our working farm, down its own private lane.

It sleeps eight people in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable.

The house is spacious. You get good views across the valley from most rooms. There's an oak conservatory at the back which is a nice spot to sit. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you have children or dogs. We allow up to three pets.

Inside, there's a wood burner in the living room. There's also a separate games room with a pool table and table football. Outside, there's a hot tub on the patio. We provide a welcome pack when you arrive.

We're on a farm, so you'll see sheep and cattle around. The property has step-free access to the ground floor and a wet room shower, which makes it workable for some wheelchair users, but please check the full details if you have specific needs.

For facilities, you've got WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.

The local shop is about three and a half miles away in Kington. The nearest pub is two and a half miles, and there's a restaurant about two miles away.

For walking, Offa's Dyke Path is very close by. The Elan Valley is about a 30 minute drive. Hay-on-Wye is roughly 25 minutes away if you like books. Useful links for planning are Visit Wales and the National Trust page for Offa's Dyke.
