This is Penshenkin Barn. It's a barn conversion we did, just outside New Radnor in Powys. It's detached and set back from the road, so it's quiet.
It sleeps ten. Five bedrooms, and each one has its own bathroom. That's probably the main thing. It's got a 5 Star rating, so everything is well fitted. It's all on one level inside, except for a few steps. There's a wet room on the ground floor too, and the doors are wide.
The living area is open plan. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. Outside, there's a hot tub at the front looking out over the fields. The garden has seating.
You're right on the edge of the Radnor Forest here. The Water-Break-Its-Neck waterfall is a five-minute walk up the track. Good walking from the door. Offa's Dyke Path is close by if you want a proper long-distance trail.
Kington is about eight miles away for shops and places to eat. Presteigne is nearby too, they've got The Judge's Lodging museum if that's your sort of thing. For a day out, the Elan Valley dams are about half an hour's drive. It's a impressive bit of engineering.
Facilities: everything's included - bedding, towels, electricity. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi. Parking for a few cars right outside. We've got a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. No pets sorry.
