Larchwood Lodge is on our farm in Stanner, near Kington. It's a bungalow, so everything is on one level. You'll need to walk up a short, steep slope from the car park to the front door.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. We've just finished doing it up, so it's all new. It's comfortable, but it's still a farm lodge. You'll see our sheep and cattle in the fields.
The main room is big and open, with those big folding doors that open right up onto the deck. The view from there is the main thing. You look straight out over the valley. There's a hot tub under cover on the deck, and a TV out there too.
Kington is about ten minutes by car. It's got a few pubs, some places to eat, and a Co-op for shopping. Hay-on-Wye is about half an hour away, for the bookshops and the festival.
If you like walking, you're right on the doorstep of some good routes. Hergest Croft Gardens are nearby. For a longer trip, the Elan Valley is spectacular and about a 30-minute drive.
What's here: the hot tub, underfloor heating, a wood burner, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to three dogs. There's a cot if you need one.
