Larchwood Lodge
Larchwood Lodge is on our farm in Stanner. It's a detached, single-storey lodge, so everything's on the ground floor. It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. We renovated it in 2023.
You park at the bottom of the track. It's a short walk up to the lodge itself. The track is a farm track, so sensible shoes are a good idea.
The main living space is open plan. There's a wood burner and underfloor heating. The big bi-fold doors open onto a deck. The views from there are across our valley and the hills. It's quiet, and you'll see buzzards and red kites.
The deck has a covered hot tub. There's a TV out there too.
Being a farm, you'll hear sheep and see the cattle in the fields. We're around if you need anything, but the lodge and its garden are private.
Kington is the nearest town, about two miles away. It's got pubs, a few places to eat, and shops. There's a small breed animal park just outside town which is popular with children.
For walking, you're right on the border. Offa's Dyke Path is close by, and Hergest Croft Gardens are near Kington. Hay-on-Wye is about thirteen miles away for the bookshops and the festival.
Facilities: It's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to three dogs. There's a cot if needed.
