Offa's Dyke Lodge is on our farm near Stanner. We've got sheep and cattle, so you'll see them in the fields. The views are good. Really good, actually. It's quiet up here.
It sleeps six, has three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's clean and it's well looked after. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings.
You drive up to a parking spot below the lodge. From there, it's a short walk up a slope to the front door. It's not far, but it's uphill. Just so you know.
The main room is open plan. The best bit is the balcony. The doors open right out onto it. You get the full view up the valley. It's a proper spot for a cup of tea in the morning or a drink in the evening.
For walks, you're right on the doorstep of the Offa's Dyke Path. The Brecon Beacons aren't far either if you want to drive a bit. Kington is close. It's got pubs, a few places to eat, and a chip shop. There's the Hergest Croft Gardens there too, which are nice. The small breeds farm park is popular if you've got kids.
Hay-on-Wye is about half an hour's drive. It's all the bookshops and the festival. Ludlow is a bit further, maybe 40 minutes, if you want a good market town.
The facilities are what you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. The bedding and towels are included. The garden is enclosed. There's a games room in a separate building on the farm that guests can use. We allow up to three dogs.
