The Mill
The Mill is here on our farm in Llandegley. It's a small, detached barn we restored a few years ago. You'll be on your own down by the stream.
It's for two people. One bedroom upstairs, and two bathrooms. One's a shower room on the ground floor, the other is an en-suite. The bath is actually in the bedroom itself, which some people like.
The garden is enclosed and runs alongside the stream. You can hear the water. There's a hot tub out there. Inside, it's all done to a good standard. It's got the things you'd expect: a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi. The rating is 4 Star, so it's comfortable.
It's very quiet here. You'll hear the stream, birds, and the sheep in the fields. That's about it. The nearest pub is in Pen y Bont, about two miles away. They do food.
Llandrindod Wells is about seven miles. It's a small town with shops and a lake you can walk around. For a bigger day out, the Elan Valley is roughly 12 miles. The dams and reservoirs are impressive, and the walking is excellent. You might see red kites. Elan Valley has all the information.
If you're coming for an event, the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells is 15 miles away. Good road access from here.
We're on a working farm, so you'll see us about sometimes. There's parking right outside the cottage. No pets, I'm afraid.
For planning walks or drives, the Visit Mid Wales site is useful, and the National Trust in Wales has properties within a half hour drive.
