Woodside Lodge is on our farm just outside Penybont. It's one of three lodges here. It's detached and you get your own garden and patio.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and one bathroom. It has a 3 Star rating. That means comfortable and clean, but not luxurious. The main bedroom and bathroom are on the ground floor, which is handy. The stairs up to the other two bedrooms are normal stairs, nothing too steep.
You're on a working farm, so you'll see sheep and maybe some tractors going past. It's quiet. The view from the hot tub is over the fields. There's parking right by the lodge.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, wifi, and bedding is included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring one dog.
The nearest pub is about a mile and a half away in Llanafan Fawr. It serves food. The closest shop is three miles away in Llandrindod Wells.
For things to do, you're well placed. Rhayader is ten minutes away. That's where the red kite feeding station is. The Elan Valley reservoirs are stunning for a drive or a walk, and the fishing is good there too. You can hire bikes in Rhayader.
Llandrindod Wells is a Victorian spa town, about five miles. There's a leisure centre there with a pool. For walking, you've got Glyndwr's Way and Offa's Dyke Path nearby.
Further out, within about half an hour's drive, you've got the bookshops in Hay-on-Wye, the activity centre at Gilfach, and horse riding places. You can get to the coast at Aberdyfi in under an hour and a half if you fancy a change.
