Pippins

It's called Pippins. It's an old granary we converted about 25 years ago, on our land here in Llandrindod Wells. It's detached, and you've got your own garden that looks out over the fields towards the Ithon Valley.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms downstairs, both doubles. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower downstairs and one upstairs. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and has what you need. The living space is upstairs to make the most of the view. The stairs are fine, nothing too steep.

You're welcome to walk over our 14 acres. There's a public footpath right from the gate that goes down past the old Cefnllys church ruins to the river. You see red kites a lot up here.

The nearest pub is in Penybont, about two and a half miles away. They do food. Llandrindod Wells is a 15-minute drive for shops, a couple of supermarkets, and more places to eat.

The Elan Valley is the big draw. It's half an hour's drive. The scenery is stunning, there's a good visitor centre, and miles of traffic-free track to walk or cycle. It's a International Dark Sky Park too, so on a clear night the stars are incredible.

Within about an hour's drive you've got Devil's Bridge, the Rheidol steam railway, and Aberystwyth on the coast.

It's got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's an enclosed patio with a barbecue.

If you're looking into the area, the Visit Mid Wales site is useful, and National Trust Wales for places like the Elan Valley.
