Bryn Villa is a detached bungalow on our working farm near Howey in Powys. You get to it down a farm track, so your car might get a bit dusty. It's fine for normal cars, just take it steady.
It sleeps five, in three bedrooms. All on one level, which is handy. There's one bathroom with a good shower. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's comfortable and well-equipped, but it's a farmhouse, not a show home.
The garden is fully enclosed and looks straight out onto the fields where our sheep are. If you're here in spring, you'll see the lambs. There are footpaths through the farm you're welcome to use for a walk.
Howey village has a pub, about two miles away. For a shop or a restaurant, you'd go into Llandrindod Wells or Builth Wells, which are both about three miles. They've got golf courses and the usual small town things. The Royal Welsh Showground is at Builth.
The Elan Valley is about a ten mile drive. It's spectacular for walking or cycling, with big dams and reservoirs. Well worth a day trip. For planning walks, the Eryri National Park site is useful, as you're near the southern end, and so is the Visit Wales page for Mid Wales.
What's here: Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair. Parking for a couple of cars right outside. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a barbecue and a hot tub in the garden.
