This is River Lodge. It's a detached house on our farm in Hundred House, near Builth Wells. You're on your own out here, but the village pub is a five minute walk away.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. One bathroom and a couple of the bedrooms are on the ground floor. There's a ramp at the front door, but inside it's a normal house layout. The stairs are fine.
The main living space is open plan. There's a wood burner in there which heats the whole place. You get a proper view from the sofa, straight out over the fields. The garden is enclosed and there's a hot tub on the patio. That's private, just for you.
It's a working farm, so you'll see sheep and tractors. Sometimes it's quiet, sometimes it's busy. There's a footpath from the property that goes across the river and into the village.
For days out, Builth Wells is ten minutes away by car. The Royal Welsh Showground is there, about five miles from here. Llandrindod Wells, the old spa town, is about seven miles. Further north, Rhayader and the Elan Valley dams are maybe half an hour's drive. They're worth seeing. The Elan Valley Trust site has maps and information.
Inside, there's a washing machine and dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's space to store bikes under cover. Parking is right outside.
If you're looking for other local walks or places to visit, the Visit Mid Wales site is useful.
