Wye Lodge
Wye Lodge is a wooden cabin in Aberedw, right by the River Wye. It's detached, so it's just you and the river. You can hear it from the decking.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms, and each bedroom has its own bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The kitchen has a dishwasher. There's parking right outside.
If you fish, the main thing is you have the fishing rights for the stretch of river there. Salmon, trout, coarse fishing. You don't need to go anywhere else.
For walks, you can just head out from the door along the river or into the hills. It's on the National Cycle Network, and the lanes around here are good for road cycling if you don't mind hills. For mountain biking, there are plenty of tracks.
Builth Wells is about four miles away. They've got a supermarket, restaurants, a swimming pool, and a golf course. There's a pub and a restaurant a mile from the lodge.
The Brecon Beacons are about half an hour's drive if you want bigger hills. The Elan Valley is also about half an hour away. Good for walking, cycling, and watching red kites. There's a feeding station you can visit.
The Royal Welsh Showground is just outside Builth, about five miles away. Useful to know if your dates clash with a big event.
Facilities: everything's included, like bedding, towels, electricity, and wifi. There's a TV. You can bring one well-behaved dog. We also have a cot and a highchair if you need them.
If you're a bigger group, you can book the lodge next door, Edw Lodge, as well. Together they sleep ten.
