Bryn Teg

Bryn Teg is a lodge just outside Builth Wells. It's on the edge of the Caer Beris Estate. The views from the back are over fields, nothing in the way. You'll see red kites, rabbits, and the pheasants that wander about. There are usually sheep in the nearest field.

It sleeps six, but there are two proper bedrooms. One's a double with a walk-in wardrobe and its own shower room. The other has a single bed and a pull-out single, so it suits kids. There's a main bathroom with a shower over the bath too. Everything's on one level.

The main room is open plan. Kitchen with an island, dining table for six, and sofas. The sofa bed is there if you need it. There's a Smart TV with Sky. Patio doors open straight onto a deck with seating, a table, and a gas barbecue.

You can walk into Builth Wells in about twenty minutes. The path goes past the hotel and follows the river. It's a nice walk. The town has the basics: shops, cafes, a butchers, a swimming pool. There's a pub within walking distance too.

You're well placed here for getting out. The Royal Welsh Showground is just there, so if there's a show on you can walk. For fishing, golf, or riding, it's all local. The Brecon Beacons are about half an hour's drive for proper walks. Hay-on-Wye is about the same, if you like books.

It's a 4 Star lodge, so it's comfortable. Wifi, parking, bedding and towels are all included. There's a washing machine in a utility room with a back door. You can bring one dog.
