The Old Cider Mill is on our land in Llanstephan. It's detached. You get the whole building and the patio to yourselves. It looks out over our wildlife ponds and fields.
It sleeps two. One bedroom upstairs with an en-suite bathroom. The bathroom has a free-standing bath. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well-finished.
The stairs inside are original, so they're steep and a bit uneven. You'll notice that. The whole building is old, it dates from around 1402. It was a cider mill for the hunting lodge opposite. That lodge is one of the oldest houses in Wales.
There's a woodburning stove in the living area. The kitchen has a Rayburn oven. All bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine and parking right outside.
You're welcome to bring two dogs. There's space for them to run, but please use a lead in the fields because of livestock. A wild rabbit tends to visit the patio.
The nearest shop and pub are in Newbridge-on-Wye, about two and a half miles away. For a bigger shop, Llandrindod Wells is about a 15 minute drive.
You can walk straight from the door. The Elan Valley is within half an hour for reservoirs and good walks. Hay-on-Wye is about 40 minutes if you like books. The Visit Wales walking page has ideas for the area. For local history, Cadw lists historic sites.
