Beacons Cottage is in Pontithel, which is in Powys. It's a detached cottage, so no one attached on either side. You've got your own garden out the back.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's a bit nicer finish than some. It's warm and clean.
You're right on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The views are good. Hay-on-Wye is about five miles away. That's the book town. They've got loads of shops and the festival. Brecon is eleven miles the other way. It's a proper market town with a cathedral and a few pubs.
For walking, you've got Offa's Dyke Path and the Wye Valley Walk nearby. You can hire canoes locally on the River Wye. The National Trust has a few places around here too, like the Sugarloaf Vineyard. The Royal Welsh Showground at Builth Wells is about fifteen miles if you're going to an event.
The facilities are all there: parking, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
