Llaethdy-Milkhouse is here in Talgarth. It's an old dairy barn we've converted. It's detached, so no shared walls. You get the whole thing.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. Two bedrooms are downstairs, the other two are up a flight of stairs. The beams are all original oak. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
Talgarth itself is a small market town. It's quiet. The local shop and a couple of pubs are about 200 yards away. One of the pubs does good food. There's a restored water mill with a cafe in town too, which is worth a visit.
You're right on the edge of the Black Mountains here. For walking, you can start straight from the door. The Pwll-yr-Wrach waterfall and nature reserve is just outside town. For a longer drive, you're well placed for the Brecon Beacons. Brecon is about seven miles, Hay-on-Wye is nine miles, and Crickhowell is twelve miles. All are within twenty minutes.
In terms of facilities, it's got the basics covered. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on site. You can bring one dog.
If you're planning walks or days out, these sites are useful: Brecon Beacons National Park and National Trust Wales.
