Llaethdy-Milkhouse

Llaethdy-Milkhouse is an old dairy building in Talgarth. We've converted it into a house. It's detached, so no shared walls.

It sleeps eight. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The stairs are fine, standard for a conversion.

You're right in the town. The shop, a couple of pubs, and the mill café are about two hundred yards away. You can walk to them. The pubs do food.

The Brecon Beacons are on your doorstep. You can start walks straight from the house. Talgarth calls itself the gateway to the Black Mountains, and it really is. For planning, the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority site is useful.

There are a few local things within a few minutes' drive. The Pwll-yr-Wrach nature reserve has a waterfall. Bronllys Castle is a ruin on a hill you can visit.

If you want to go further, Hay-on-Wye is about fifteen minutes away for the bookshops. Brecon is twenty minutes. Crickhowell is maybe twenty-five. All good for a day out.

For facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on the gravel area outside. You can bring one dog.
