Three Views Bungalow

Three Views Bungalow is in Talgarth, a small market town. It's a detached bungalow, which is handy. It's in a residential street, so it's not isolated, but it's quiet. The bungalow bit is good if stairs are a problem.

It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom is a wet room which is wheelchair accessible. There's parking on the drive.

The layout is straightforward. Two sitting rooms, which is useful with a group. The kitchen is fine, it has a dishwasher and washing machine. There's a utility room that leads out to the garage, which we've made into a games room with a pool table and things.

The garden is enclosed. There's a patio area and a barbecue. At the bottom of the garden is a sauna cabin. You can see the Black Mountains from there, and on a clear day you can see Pen y Fan in the distance.

If you're here in the right season, you're welcome to help yourself to some vegetables or fruit from our plot. Just ask.

You can walk into Talgarth in a few minutes. There's a shop and a few pubs. The town has a restored water mill, Talgarth Mill, which does tours and sells its own flour and bread.

For walks, the Pwll-y-Wrach Nature Reserve is close. It's a nice, easy walk to some waterfalls.

Hay-on-Wye is about seven miles east. That's all bookshops and cafes. Brecon is about seven miles west. For proper mountain walking, the Brecon Beacons are right there. Pen y Fan is roughly a 30-minute drive. Canoeing on the River Wye is also about half an hour away.

Useful links for planning: Brecon Beacons National Park and National Trust Wales.

Facilities are all listed, but to cover the basics: bedding and towels are included, there's wifi, a cot and highchair if needed, and the garden is enclosed. No pets, sorry. It has a 4 Star rating.
