The Huts in the Hills is in Tregoyd, near Brecon in Powys. It's not a cottage, it's four shepherds huts set up on the side of the hills. Three sleepers and a kitchen-bathroom hut are in a little clearing, with another sleeper hut just across the field.
It sleeps eight total, in four doubles. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's 4 Star graded, which suits it well. It's comfortable glamping, not basic camping.
It's very quiet up there. You'll hear the stream and not much else. The huts are green and traditional looking but well made. They're arranged so a group can be together, but the fourth hut gives a couple or some kids their own space.
There's a big outdoor table under a cover, a fire pit and a barbecue. You'll want to use that. Inside, the kitchen hut has proper cooking stuff and the bathroom is eco-friendly but works like a normal one.
You're right on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Walking is what you do here. You can see Hay Bluff from the site. Offa's Dyke Path is close. Hay-on-Wye is a twenty minute drive for the bookshops and cafes. Brecon town is about the same distance the other way.
Facilities include all bedding and towels, the cot, the wood burner, and the games room in the owner's barn. No pets. The electricity and everything is included.
