The Mill House, The Square
The Mill House is right on the square in Talgarth. It's a detached cottage from the 1830s. It was part of the old mill that's just up the road, and the dining room used to be a butcher's shop.
It sleeps five in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a walk-in shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable.
You're in the middle of the town here. There are shops, pubs and a couple of restaurants all a two-minute walk away. The front door opens straight onto the pavement, which is handy.
The property is wheelchair accessible at the entrance, but it's an old cottage, so there are steps inside once you're in.
For walking, you can start from the door. The Brecon Beacons are right there. Pen y Fan is the big one if you're up for it. Brecon is about nine miles east. Hay-on-Wye is eight miles west for the books and cafes. The Brecon Beacons National Park website is good for planning walks.
Included in the price: all bedding and towels, electricity, WiFi, and a TV. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. There's a local golf course. We do it up for Christmas if you're booking then.
