The Bailey is in Three Cocks, which is in the very middle of Wales. It's an old attached barn we've done up. It sleeps ten, so it's a big place. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The main living room is upstairs. That’s where the wood burner is and the views are good. The stairs are wooden and a bit steep, just so you know. There's a second living room on the ground floor we use as a games room. It's handy if people want to do different things.
The master bedroom is down there too, with an en-suite and a four-poster bed. The floors are flagstone in some parts, which can be cold, so bring slippers in winter. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got a dog. We allow one well-behaved pet.
There's a pub about 500 yards down the lane. They do food. The nearest shop is about the same distance, it's a basic village shop.
You're right on the edge of the Brecon Beacons. For walking, you can just step out the door. Hay-on-Wye is five miles away. That's the book town. It's good for a wander, some cafes, and the river. Hereford is about a 25-minute drive if you need a bigger supermarket.
Facilities: there's parking for a few cars. We include bedding and towels. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and a BBQ you can use. The place is decorated for Christmas if you book over that period.
