Barn Owls Rest
Barn Owls Rest is a new cottage we built in 2021. It's detached and sits in our orchard. The view is across fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both downstairs, and two bathrooms. One is an ensuite. It's got a 5 Star rating, which mainly means everything is new and works well.
The living area is upstairs. That's where you get the best view. There's a glass balcony off the living room. It's a good spot. The kitchen has a dishwasher and one of those coffee machines that uses pods.
Downstairs there's a utility room with a washing machine and a big sink. The garden is enclosed. It's basically the orchard. There's furniture out there.
You're just outside Clyro. Hay-on-Wye is two miles away. That's the book town. It has shops, places to eat, and the festivals.
For walking, you're right on the edge of the Black Mountains. The Brecon Beacons National Trust land is nearby. Offa's Dyke path is close. You can walk from the door.
Within about half an hour you can get to Hereford, or into the heart of the Brecon Beacons. There are a few castles around, like Hay Castle. Visit Wales has a good guide for Powys.
Facilities: parking right outside. Wifi. Bedding and towels are included. The entrance and the ground floor are step-free. No pets.
