Blackrock Barn is a conversion on our farm near Clifford. It's detached, so it's just you. The views are good, looking over our fields and across to the Black Mountain.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. Everything's on one level. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
You're on a working farm, so you'll see sheep and tractors. You get your own patio area with a table and chairs to sit out. The garden is yours.
Hay-on-Wye is the nearest town, about four miles away. It's famous for its bookshops and the literary festival in May. There are some decent pubs around here that do food.
If you like walking, you can go straight from the door onto the lanes and footpaths. For bigger hills, you can drive up onto the Begwyns or over to Hay Bluff in about twenty minutes. The National Trust Brecon Beacons site has good information.
The facilities are what you'd expect: WiFi, TV, a dishwasher, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
Hereford is about a 30 minute drive if you want a cathedral city day out. For castles and history, Hay Castle is in the town itself.
