The Nest
The Nest is an apartment in Winforton. It's on the first floor. It's for two people. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means the finish is good, it's comfortable, and it's clean.
You have one bedroom and one bathroom. There's a small balcony that looks out over the fields. It's quiet. You'll hear birds.
The kitchen is well equipped. It's fine for cooking a meal. There's an electric vehicle charger on site if you need it.
You're a short drive from Hay-on-Wye, about six miles. That's the book town. Lots of bookshops and cafes. The festival is in May, but it's busy then. The rest of the year it's just a nice place to wander. You can hire canoes on the River Wye there.
Hereford is about 15 miles away. The cathedral is the main thing, with the Mappa Mundi.
For walking, you're on the edge of the Black Mountains. The Brecon Beacons are about a 30 minute drive. Pen y Fan is up there if you want a proper hill walk.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's parking.
