Westerley

Westerley is in Poolpardon, Herefordshire. It’s one of the Clifford Place Cottages, set back off a quiet lane.

It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. There’s a wood burning stove which is nice in the colder months. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but it’s an old cottage so the rest of the layout isn’t quite as straightforward.

The view from the cottage is the main thing. You look out over the Wye Valley. It’s really quiet, just fields. The Brecon Beacons National Park is very close, and the Black Mountains are right there too, good for walking.

You’re about a twenty minute drive from Hay-on-Wye. Lots of bookshops, and the festival if your dates match. Hereford, with the cathedral and shops, is about half an hour away by car.

For facilities: you’ve got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There’s parking right outside. There’s a highchair and a stairgate if you need them. No pets, I’m afraid.

If you’re planning to explore, the National Trust has a few places nearby.
