Mouse Castle Barn
Mouse Castle Barn is a couple of miles outside Hay on Wye. It's up a farm track, so you do get peace and quiet. It's one of two barns made into holiday places.
It sleeps six. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms, which helps if you've got a full group. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well looked after and comfortable. The conversion was done properly, with stone walls and a woodburner. The stairs are wooden and a bit open, so just mind your step.
You have your own garden with a patio. It gets the sun in the evening. There's parking right outside.
For facilities, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. Sorry, no pets.
Hay on Wye is about a fifteen minute walk down the lane. You know what it's like, full of bookshops. There's a decent pub about three quarters of a mile away that does food.
If you walk, it's brilliant here. You're right by Offa's Dyke Path. The Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons are close. You can drive to the Brecon Beacons National Park in about half an hour. For fishing or riding, there are local places we can point you to.
Hereford, Brecon, and Leominster are all within a 30 minute drive for a bigger shop or a day out.
